OUR STORY
The Vision
Joseph had been progressing early in his career in IT Project Management during his time working for The Walt Disney Company in California and discovered a keen interest in enterprise implementation and software development projects.
The Acquisition
Joseph acquired Whirlwind Web Enterprises, a small design and web development agency, in 2011 working on small development projects for local small businesses, non-profits and agencies mostly in PHP-based websites and applications.
The Birth
In 2012, Joseph birthed Ambient Studios as a transition from a boutique design and development agency to a software development focused company with a plan to grow in to a technology professional services firm.
The Alliance
Ambient Studios continued building upon its business relationship with Think Marketing forming an alliance and combined competencies in marketing, employee communications and software development that has become a focal point of Ambient Studios' services today.
The Transformation
In 2013, Ambient Studios leveraged previous experience of the team building and implementing custom SharePoint Intranet sites to begin their first SharePoint Intranet development engagements and have been instrumental in transitioning clients' employee engagement experience through significant Company changes.
The Leap
In 2015, Joseph decided to leave the corporate world and focus entirely on consulting and growing Ambient Studios as a business delivering numerous site redesigns, enhancements and M365 migrations to SharePoint Online. SharePoint project work has become the Company's bread and butter and area of expertise.
The Growth
In 2018, Ambient Studios welcomed Parlae Solutions, an Ohio & Florida-based SharePoint development agency, in to the fold to strengthen its software engineering department particularly in custom SharePoint development.
The Specialization
Ambient Studios signs on as a Microsoft Partner in order to better align with Microsoft strategies and leverage solutions that would best allow for Ambient Studios to deliver on digital transformation and managed services for its clients.
The Headquarters
In 2019, Ambient Studios established its corporate headquarters in Brea, CA with plans for a satellite office in Tampa, FL, Washington D.C area and Austin, TX.
The Key Partnership
Ambient Studios becomes a Liferay Silver Partner extending its practice in to the Digital Experience space.
The Foundations
With an eye to the future, Ambient Studios begins establishing partnerships and network alliances to best position itself to broaden its service offerings for its clients. Ambient becomes a member of the Brea Chamber of Commerce and the International Association of Microsoft Certified Professionals (IAMCP).
The Certified MBE
Ambient is recognized by the National Minority Supplier Development Council as a Minority Business Enterprise.
The Microsoft Silver Partner
Ambient Studios attains Microsoft Silver Partner Competency in Application Development.
The Certified DBE
Ambient Studios is certified by the Department of Transportation (Caltrans) as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.

Ambient Studios attains additional Microsoft Silver Partner Competency in Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions.
