Joe

Managing Partner, Founder

Joe is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ambient Studios with a long history and background in program & project management and software development lifecycle management working and consulting for Fortune 500 companies such as DuPont, Mattel and Disney as well as a for the University of Southern California.

Joe achieved success early in his career as a project manager through strategic implementations of enterprise applications helping companies transform their business through technology enablement including corporate intranets, IT service management, EHS, SaaS/cloud computing, financial and ERP systems.

Through his journey, Joe found a passion for developing solutions and business applications that solve for real-world business needs in the right way. He birthed Ambient Studios as a vehicle to collect like-minded, agile professionals who shared in this vision to help businesses achieve their potential.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. He holds active certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP)®, a Certified Scrum Professional® and an AWS Solutions Architect Associate.

Joe currently resides in North Orange County with his wife and three children and is heavily involved in his local church. Joe studied the viola early in his life and has recently picked up Olympic archery as a new hobby. He enjoys going to Disneyland, Korean variety shows and USC Trojans football games.

Diana

Operations Lead, Engineering

Diana is a strong professional with a program and project management background. Skilled in Requirements Gathering, Software Development Lifecycle, Business Process Improvement, Scrum and Kanban, JIRA, Salesforce, and SharePoint, she brings a demonstrated history of over 14 years of experience in the software industry.

For her undergrad, she studied as a dual-major in Computer Information Systems and International Business. She started off her career in the entertainment industry - first, as an intern at Warner Bros. Studios and later, progressing in The Walt Disney Company, where she met Joe. She is currently preparing for her PMP and currently holds an active Scrum Master certification.

Born and raised in California, she is an INFJ that enjoys the beach during warmer weather, snowboarding in the winter, and rock climbing throughout the year. She has grown up with rescue dogs and has one of her own. She is an avid reader, loves to travel, appreciates good photography, and learning new things. During her free time, she likes to walk her dog, partaking in new food adventures and cultural experiences, musicals, visiting coffeeshops, and curling up with a good book. She is an advocate of social justice and raising awareness for change.

Mark

Lead Consultant, Engagement

Mark is a SharePoint Consultant at Ambient Studios with a background in client consulting, project management, business analysis for major firms such as Dell and Booz Allen Hamilton.

He excels in the areas of configuration and development of SharePoint environments.  Early in his career, Mark started off as a business consultant which served as his foundation to being a trusted source for his many satisfied clients.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA.  He holds an active Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist Certification.

Mark currently resides in the Northern Virginia area where he enjoys sports and community service. Mark is an avid athlete and partakes in basketball, soccer, flag football, among other sports.  He travels around the world participating in various basketball tournaments and has used sports as a tool to serve his community as well by assisting in training and activities for youth.

Matt

Front-end Developer, Engineering

Matt brings over 15 years web design experience to the table, with a particular focus on UI, Usability and Front-End development. After earning his degree in 2001, he started working creating merchant stores for Linkin Park’s Merchandising company BandMerch in Augora Hills, California,  From there, he went to work for a web boutique Intellixmedia, creating interactive CD’s and Flash based websites. After just a year, he was recruited when his work caught the attention of Microsoft Partner Agency – Speaktech, which opened doors to JavaScript and CSS focused development for clients such a Disney, LiveNation, Myspace, and Allergen.

After SpeakTech was acquired by Perficient, Matt continued to develop SharePoint Corporate Portals with them as a Freelancer. He relocated to Berlin in 2013 and worked part-time in the growing startup scene while also continuing to develop SharePoint Portals for clients back in the USA. Matt was reconnected with Joe and joined Ambient Studios in 2015 after their days working together at Disney working on a Business Unit's Corporate Intranet project.

Matt holds Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Principia College in St Louis, Missouri as well a certification as a Scrum Master (CSM).

Matt current resides in Berlin, Germany with his girlfriend and two kids. He enjoys traveling, discovering new music, and surfing when he’s home in California.

Rob

Software Developer, Engineering

Rob developed a curiosity for computers at an early age.  This curiosity evolved into a passionate hobby that Rob pursued in middle and high school.  He took classes in C++ programming and AP Computer Science in high school and participated in activities such as the Boy Scouts Explorer's Computer Technology Post at NASA Glenn Research Center.  He also participated in a summer camp training class before his senior year which led to obtaining his first certification (CIW Associate Webmaster) in 2000.

Rob chose to pursue programming farther by first attending the University of Toledo, majoring in Computer Science and Engineering.  After some time there, he transferred to Cleveland State University where he earned his Bachelor Of Science in Computer and Information Science in 2007.

Since graduation, Rob has been working successfully as a software developer specializing in Microsoft and web technologies, continuing his drive to learn, and using his skills to solve the problems and needs of businesses.  He started working with Ambient Studios in 2018 where he brings his skills and passion there as part of the team.  Rob is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in Web Applications.

Rob is currently living in Ohio where he has lived throughout his life.  When not working, he likes to spend his time with sci-fi and fantasy movies and TV and PC gaming.

Scott

Software Developer, Engineering

Scott Nagy is one of our Software Engineers. He has spent more than a decade working and consulting for organizations such as Microsoft, Amazon.com, Bed Bath & Beyond, The Cleveland Clinic, Costco, Dow Corning, and Progressive Insurance. He is experienced in all phases of the project life cycle and is also fluent in both waterfall and agile development methodologies. Scott is an experienced Developer that is passionate about his career and is dedicated to doing it well.

Scott's developed a solid reputation for helping clients focus less on their technology challenges and more on doing what they do best. He's committed to being flexible and responsive to our clients’ needs. It’s that commitment that sets him apart. Scott has worked hard in his field, and that diligence shows in his work ethic and performance.

Scott currently resides just outside of Tampa, Florida with his wife. He enjoys fishing and traveling.

Shellyn

Front-end Developer, Engineering

Shellyn has always had a fascination and excitement for anything computer-related, which led to her graduating from UC San Diego with a bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts and Media. She went on to work as a web developer at various organizations and then eventually started her own business where she could interface directly with clients, which gave her the opportunity to expand her tool bag in many more new technologies. She worked with clients such as Orange County Fire Authority, Rip Curl, and many others.

Shellyn has worked on an array of projects ranging from coding hundreds of simple websites from start to finish in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, to collaborating with a team to build and manage a corporate website. She has also worked in many different types of Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress and others. She has also worked extensively in coding marketing emails. In addition to web development, Shellyn also created graphics and logos, edited video and audio, managed domains and DNS, and dabbled in Search Engine Optimization and Analytics.

Shellyn has had the opportunity to learn from very knowledgeable colleagues, but was also able to pass on that knowledge when instructing new members of the team. When there were no task management systems put into place or documentation of processes, Shellyn initiated putting these important elements into place and instructed fellow colleagues on how these systems work.

In her spare time, Shellyn enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, whether that be trying new restaurants and desserts, playing board games or traveling together. She also loves exploring new places to photograph or play Pokémon Go.

Tavoris

QA/Support Lead, Engineering

A self-driven QA Engineer/Support Lead focused on the composition, implementation, and management of QA-centric test cases and plans (both automated and manual) used to identify, track, and ultimately resolve bugs and unneeded/unintended functionality.  Experienced in end-user ticket management (incidents v. requests), ticket monitoring & reporting (SLA management), EU ticket triage (elevation), SharePoint administration & troubleshooting, and management of DR plan/strategy.

Self-starter with advanced problem-solving skills who pays close attention to details during test case/plan’s implementations, assists on other projects as needed, and performs other related duties and special projects as required.  Also equipped with ability communicate with technical team members and non-technical business stakeholders throughout software development lifecycles, while possessing solid business acumen and knowledge of the use of various technologies and applications in business.

In my spare time, I like to go catfish fishing in a few secret holes deep in the Cape Fear river basin where the catfish grow up to the 75+ pound mark, as well as spend time with his wife and baby daughter Nia, and travel.  I also enjoy learning about new technologies, and often find myself thumbing through tech magazines, and testing-out the latest and greatest technical gadgets and innovations.  I attended undergrad at North Carolina Technical & State University where I majored in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and finished with a B.S. in Computer Science in the fall of 2003.

Jun

Managing Director, Sales

Jun’s professional goal is to help accelerate digital transformation in every organization he is involved. He wants to help organizations be more effective and efficient by leveraging technology the right way. Jun has been championing many internal corporate technology (CRM, BI, ERP, E-Commerce) initiatives. He has participated in many technology rollouts as a focus group member, beta tester, and first adopter. As a sales professional, Jun also helped his clients fully understand the scope of technology adoption and guided them through complex implementations. It is no accident Jun learned how to translate complex technical jargons into normal English.

Throughout his career, Jun has been an account management professional for various companies from manufacturer to technology company and from SMB to Fortune 500. Jun’s latest job was to help clients through digital transformation utilizing latest AI technology in Intellectual Property space. Jun has Amazon Web Services, Salesforce Administrator, CompTIA Cloud Essentials, HubSpot Inbound Marketing, and Hootsuite Social Marketing Certifications.

Most of Jun’s spare time is happily spent with his three beautiful children. He is looking forward to watching more non-kiddie TV shows and read more thoughtworthy books as his children becomes increasingly independent.
